Our History

The start of the Ministry

Thomas Koshi was born the eldest of three children to Koshi Thomas and Balamma Varghese, into a traditional Christian Mar Thoma Protestant family. His life took a profound and defining turn during his university days when he had an opportunity to commit his life fully to God, accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. This spiritual decision led Thomas to experience a marvelous new life as a born-again person in Christ, compelling him to immediately begin sharing the good news and witnessing Christ in his college and community.

The initial fruits of his ministry manifested when a small gathering began meeting at his home for Bible study and fellowship; this assembly soon evolved into a formal local church, which they officially named The Church at Mallappally.

Growth, Leadership, and Continuing Vocation

Over time, The Church at Mallappally experienced significant spiritual growth and multiplication, influencing many other nearby communities. In India the congregation continues to fellowship today at a facility near the graphics system press (Mallappally west post, Kerala state, India 689 585), focusing on raising leaders and equipping believers by teaching them to lead victorious lives in Christ. Despite the ministry, Thomas maintains a professional career as a technology and business management professional for a corporation, balancing his secular vocation with his spiritual calling.

He actively supports the worldwide body of Christ by delivering teachings and mentoring leaders globally for Victorious Life in Christ. Thomas is also blessed with a family—a spouse and children—who are all born again and are also actively witnessing for Jesus Christ the Lord.
